THE SYNTAX OF TAMIANG LANGUAGE ACEH PROVINCE

Syntax is the study of rules for combining words into a sentence. The purpose this research to find out how syntax Tamiang language especially sentences that are construction in Language such as patterns phrases, clauses, and sentences. This used descriptive design. data were collected through interviewing, noting translating, recording transcribing all utterances language. number subjects about 24 persons. resulted has four kinds phrases. Meanwhile, clauses have two forms: complete incomplete form. form patterns: subject-predicate predicate -subject. Based on parts speech, five nominal clause, verbal adjectival numeral clause prepositional clause. There language: declarative sentence, imperative interrogative sentence exclamatory sentence.Key Words: Syntax, Sentences,
